This extended medley for concert band consists of the following titles:
- Introduction, maestoso opening, 10 mm, F, 76 BPM,
- Blue Moon (R. Rodgers), latin-bolero, 98 mm, F-G, 76 BPM,
- How High the Moon (M. Lewis), swing, 117 mm, G-C, 120 BPM,
- Moon River (H. Mancini), ballad-waltz, 104 mm, C-Eb, 72 BPM,
- Fly Me to the Moon (B. Howard), latin-bossa nova, 97 mm, C-Ab, 126 BPM,
- It's Only a Paper Moon (H. Arlen), disco-rock, 136 mm, Bb, 120 BPM.
The medley is based on a number of songs with titles orbiting around the Moon. The instrumentation requires a concert band. This arrangement is of medium grade complexity. All songs are connected by transitional sections. The rhythm section must contain a bass player, preferably on both string bass and bass guitar, and drum set. Guitar and piano/keyboard may be added for improved rhythmic support.
