NOTES FOR THE PERFORMER
This bossa nova is written for solo female vocals with jazz big band accompaniment. The introduction requires careful latin feel implied by the jazz guitar and double bass. Orchestral backgrounds use dense multi-part settings and increase in intensity as the piece develops. Finishing this adapted arrangement in the year 2000 asked for a subtle quote from Mr. J.S. Bach (look for it in the introduction).
